no more blindness?
Do you suppose there will ever come a time when nobody in this world will ever have to go blind again?
I think technology has been improving by leaps and bounds in the past few decades and at this point, nothing seems impossible anymore, at least to me. Look how we can fly across oceans to other continents when it seemed impossible last time. Look how information can now be sent without any physical transfer. The possibilities in the world are boundless!!
Maybe next time, people won't ever need to know what it is like not to see. Maybe chips can be implanted in our brains in place of our nerves so that they can capture light signals and send them to our brain which will display the images of the outside world to our eyes. Then blind people can be cured! So can deaf people.. And so can those physically challenged, because as long as we can have control over our nervous system, basically we can cure anything. I rejoice in the hope of the arrival of such a day.
