pissed

What i really long for in this world is equality. Fairness in everything. Fairness in judgement. Is that really too much to ask? Why is life always so unfair?!?

Women have historically been played down; viewed as submissive, as inferior to men, as incapabable of supporting themselves because of lack of financial interdepence and capability. And why is that so? Because women weren't even given a chance to show their potential in the first place!! From the day they were born as a female, society has already dictated that they are doomed to suffer this injustice their whole life. Societal norm has already classified them as an inferior being even before fair judgement can be passed on them. Isn't this one hell of a huge mistake? Actually women already have their fair share of psysiological problems without egoistic men to compound to them. Women have their monthly periods and many have cramps every month. Women are the ones who get pregnant, have to endure a difficult 9 months and painful labour to give birth to children. At least give them some credit!! Unfortunately men jus take all that for granted.. And on top of all that, they have to be viewed as useless people too? Huh? Have no say in the family, cannot disagree with her husband... Why could women only have one husband, facing the charges of adultery otherwise and being zhen4 zhu1 long2 while men can have san1 qi1 si4 qie4?? That is sooo grossly unfair! And even now in modern society when women are finally getting their chance to prove their self-worth, where there is education for all and women are not only confined to being housemakers, it doesn't mean that there is equality between the sexes!! women are still being played down in the workplace, though it is not that evident. sometime last month an article in the Straits Times gave a discussion on whether women make good managers. And most people (most of which, MEN) say that they don't like working under women bosses. What is it about women that invokes such repulsion in men? Aren't we human beings too? Although it is true that men are in general physically stronger than women, that doesn't have anything to do with mental capabilities. And it is scientifically proven that women are definitely not weaker than men is this aspect! Oh so women are more temperamental, women are scaredy-cats who don't like to take risks, etc etc.. Pur-leeez!! That is sooo typically MCP behaviour!! Don't steoreotype women all into this category because every individual is unique and have their own characteristics. There are women who can be avid risk takers and men who are risk-averse too! And what abt men who have bad temper? Isn't that just similar to saying women are temperamental? And who says women have to be housemakers? And men should work? Whats the matter with all these steoreotypers?? OH FOR GODS SAKE, we're no longer living in the stone age or whatever where the family's livelihood depended on the men using their stone clubs to kill the animals so that they will all have food to eat and hide to make clothes. It is the information and knowledge era and all beings with intellectual power should be given fair chances. Why is that so difficult to drum inside these people's headS??? I figure this is just some pathetic attempt by men to make themselves feel superior because they intrinsically know that they are actually inferior. Haah.

Why do people in this world always display favouritism? For skin colour, for race, for gender, for other people, etc... Why do some people have to be born smarter than others? I mean, i'm not stupid, so I shouldn't be complaining, but hey, I jus feel the injustice for the more intectually challenged. Why is it that they have to put in much more effort to try to keep up with the smarter people? Why can't ppl all be equal and be rewarded fairly on the amount of effort they put in? Why must some people be born to suffer more than others? some people are born wif silver spoons in their mouth and some are born into poverty. it's none of their fault that the latter has to work so much harder and still get nowhere near the former.
Sometimes i think this world is really damn screwed. Forget it man. I don't feel like continuing anymore.
