stupid singnet
It has been CONFIRMED that it is SINGNET that is screwing up my internet connection.Several (don't remember how many) weeks ago when my dad renewed our broadband contract wif singnet, they took the liberty of giving us a free internet filtering service that's supposed to block off "unsafe" and "unsuitable" sites.
First thing that we noticed was that all the computers in our house seemed to stop functioning properly cuz we can't go to any websites except log in to MSN Messenger©.. turns out that with the new filtering service we had to re-configure our web browsers. Go figure.
So we thought that settles it. Whoopee... But then my games started to die on me. MSN games. Gunbound. Even some websites that my fren sent me.
I thot my msn was throwing tantrums so I actually went to re-install the whole stupid thing. Wham!! The problem is STILL THERE. And suddenly after like, dunno how many days, i finally struck me that it's probably the stupid filtering system's fault.
So last nite i called up the guys at singnet, who told me that the filtering server does block off games/videos etc that run from websites. AND that they can't do anything about it cuz the engineers are in control of the whole damn thing. Wow. Isn't that just wonderful news...!?!?
kaoz... so this morning my dad called up singnet and cancelled the service. And they said it'll take 3 working days to get it done. *duh* Need so long just to cancel sth one meh???
