No more piano teaching..
Guess I won't be teaching piano part-time after all.
Haha seems kinda like an anti-climax after all that hype.. but oh wells. luckily after the interview I had 3 days to consider the offer, during which I realised that there are many unfavourable factors in accepting the job offer..
Firstly, if i teach piano part time, my annual income recognised by the govt will exceed $2000 (obviously.. duhz) which will mean that my mum will lose the child tax exemption which like amts to $1000 per yr! and the income tax is computed on calendar yr basis so if i start work now i will prob earn jus a little over $1000 dis yr... and den another $1000+ next yr... wah so its like every yr i'm working jus to give the money to the govt... wth...?!? super bo hua can??
Secondly, the clauses in the contract are so unfair lor... if the school decides to fire the teacher cuz the teacher fails to obey orders from e school, or if for any reason the teacher decides to quit, den teacher muz pay compensation of "no. of remaining mths x mthly income" so meaning if i get sacked after 6 mths (contract is for 1 yr) den end up i work half yr and not get a single cent?? wth!!!
And on top of that the school reserves the right to claim another S$2000 from the teacher for the "massive administrative work caused to the school" in such an event?!? WHAT kinda shit is this... wat massive admin work... bullshit lor.. kaoz..
And, it's not as if we're very well paid in the first place! I onli get 43% of wat the student pays to the school leh! Wah...
Den somemore they refuse to negotiate any of the terms in the contract.. say wat "our contract is std one cannot change at all" poooei!
