relatives are still here hah
hk relatives' visit has been very eventful memorable. and also quite a few firsts in such a short span of time..
thurs
a brief but very happy time spent with dear along s'pore river. most probably because we haven't had a chance to meet since hols started. i seldom stay out with dear until so late...
fri
very tiring but fulfilling day with a jam-packed schedule. i seldom do impulse buying, but that day i bought a very nice classy but funky looking (i am contradicting myself as usual) bag which i still do not regret buying until now. quite a feat.
first time i went to a pub, and first time i tried cocktails. i had the magarita and stole some sips of my sister's bailey's on the rocks. both were quite nice, actually. bailey's irish cream tastes quite like rum and raisin ice cream. hm-hmm. still can't stand beer and hard alcohol, though. and the smoke and drowning music was really quite hard to bear. that was expected...
it's a mark of how little alcohol i normally drink cuz my face and my whole body became very red. and i only finished half my drink!

dear joined us for the day and we went sentosa. it's been a really long time since i went there... a few years perhaps? highly likely.. wanted to go with dear last x'mas eve but then i sprained my foot :( tried the sentosa luge cum chairlift, not my first time (i gave my virgin luge ride to the one in new zealand) and not nearly as fun as my first time (new zealand had higher hills) but it was very very fun all the same. exhilarating and highly recommended. esp if going in grps :D

their return flight is today. when we checked in the counter staff said "this flight is very full and we're looking for volunteers to take a later flight and we'll pay them $150 each"... upon hearing this we couldn't really believe it at first.. like money fall out of the sky, where got so good deal? apparently its not some scam and we volunteered.. but we must have hesistated too long cuz when the counter staff came back she said that she's very sorry but other ppl have already volunteered. make us happy for nothing. we'd have been better off if we weren't offered this in the first place! -_-"'
supposedly my relatives' flight is at 3.25pm, but after sending them off they called us at 3.30pm and said that they missed their flight. my first reaction: !!!!! Turns out they were supposed to board the plane 10min before the stipulated time on the boarding pass but they didn't know and reached the gate at 3.17pm and they refused to let them onto the plane. and still make them pay a penalty of $150 each and wanted them to fork out more $$$ for another air ticket. only after much argument the airline stuck them onto a tues flight. and a "maybe" for a flight out tml, meaning they have to go all the way to the airport tml just to standby on the waiting list. and somemore they're travelling on SIA. wat kinda lousy service attitude is this.. and somemore its like whiplash - not only did they not manage to get the fall-out-of-the-sky $150 bonus, they had to fork out an extra $150 for an even later flight. what an irony. >.<
